Arrive in St. Petersburg. We'll help coordinate airport transfers. Check in to our hotel and freshen up before we have dinner together at a restaurant in the city.Day 2: Aug 12 - Guided tour of city
Highlights: Tour of St. Petersburg
This morning, we'll have a guided tour of the renowned and colorful Church of Spilled Blood and St. Isaac's Cathedral with our Russian tour guide. In the afternoon, you'll have time to visit the city on your own. We recommend a visit to the Hermitage, one of the greatest museums of Russia - and some say the world, or wandering the city streets. Dinner is on your own tonight.Day 3: Aug 13 - Guided tour of Citadel
Highlights: Peter and Paul Fortress, hydrofoil transfer to Peterhof
We'll take a guided tour of the Peter and Paul Fortress this morning - the original Citadel built over a 34 year period by Peter the Great. The fortress includes a visit to Peter and Paul's Cathedral. After lunch together, we'll take a hydrofoil across the Neva Bay to the palace grounds of Peter the Great. Dinner on your own tonight.Day 4: Aug 14 - Morning tour of the Peterhof (Peter's Palace)
Highlights: Peterhof; start of tour!
This morning we'll take a guided tour of the Peterhof Palace. Often called Russia's Versailles, this palace along with central St. Petersburg is an important UNESCO World Heritage site for Russia. We'll explore the Lower and Upper Gardens, the Grand Palace and the Royal Baths to name a few of the highlights. We'll meet the rest of the group who is arriving today, gather for introductions, and fit bikes this afternoon. Dinner will be together as a group, and you'll be ready to start your bike adventure!-
