Visit some of the most important trade towns along the trade route of the Hanseatic League, which dominated maritime trade from 1400-1800. The League was created to protect economic interests and diplomatic privileges in the cities and countries and along the trade routes the merchants visited. Renown for its urban cycling culture, Denmark’s expansive cycling lanes will lead us through fjords, along the coast, and through the streets of some of Denmark’s vibrant towns and cities.
