Many people ask us how we decide where to go next. The process includes a dash of science and a splash of inspiration. We listen closely to traveler, local expert, tour leader and vendor partner recommendations, make a short list, and then investigate logistics to understand if we can pull together an exceptional trip. This process typically takes 18 to 24 months — and then the tour is posted online. It’s fair to say that making sure new routes and experiences are just right is a labor of love.
There is one 2025 trip in particular that we’re excited to unveil: a carefully curated revamp of a tour that had barely changed since launching 30 + years ago: Cycling Sardinia. Company founders Rick and Paola spent quite a bit of time as Rick researched his PhD dissertation on coastal development. We hope the updated itinerary lasts another 30 years or more.
